Finance Ministry sees budget deficit at 1.7% of GDP in Jan-May
MOSCOW, Jun 15 (PRIME) -- Russia’s budget deficit amounted to 1.7% of gross domestic product (GDP) or 563.716 billion rubles in January-May, according to preliminary estimate, the Finance Ministry said on Thursday.
Primary deficit, excluding foreign and domestic debt, totaled 284.832 billion rubles, or 0.8% of the GDP.
Budget revenue stood at 5.83 trillion rubles in the period, or 43.2% of the total annual budget, and spending amounted to 6.393 trillion rubles, or 39.4% of the annual budget.
